Saxon(17)
Author: Chantal Fernando

“I saw you on TV,” Bree, the little princess tells me.

“Did you now?”

“Yes, with my cousin Ryder.”

I put her down on the floor. “Where’s your gun?”

She frowns. “I’m a lady, I don’t need a gun. I have boys protecting me.”

Tee walks over, scowling as she hears Bree’s last comment. “Bree, honey, do not wait around for a man to protect you. Go and get yourself a gun and protect yourself, trust me.”

“Why Aunty Tee?” Bree asks, tapping her foot on the ground.

Tee whispers something in her ear, and Bree nods and sighs. “You’re right. I need to protect my own damn self.”

I watch wide-eyed as she goes and gets herself one of the laser guns. I turn to Tee who is watching Bree with a proud look. “What wisdom did you share with that poor girl?”

Tee grins. “If I told you, it would be breaking girl code. Now you better start running Saxon Tate.”

I raise an eyebrow. “You think you can shoot me?”

She pushes a stray lock behind her ear. “I know I can.”

“How about I give you a head start?” I say. “Since I’m a gentleman, and all…”

She raises a brow and puts her hand on her hip. “I sure hope you’re not a gentleman in the sheets.”

Taken aback at that comment, my eyes flare as she flashes me a smug look. “Maybe soon enough you will find out.”

She smirks and runs behind one of the tunnels.

Game on.

After losing at laser tag, I take Tee back to her apartment and cook her dinner while she takes a shower. I consider walking in on her like she did to me, but she’d probably kick me in the balls again, so I stay by the stove and try to imagine what she looks like completely naked. A song plays on repeat while she’s in there, Trey Songz- ‘Can’t Be Friends’.

Is she trying to tell me something?

She walks into the kitchen ten minutes later, freshly showered. She’s wearing track pants with the word geek written on her ass and a tight white tank top. Unfortunately for me, she’s wearing a bra with it.

“They aren’t going to magically pop out no matter how much you stare at them,” she says, dragging my gaze to her face. She looks amused as she walks over to the stove to see what I’ve been working on.

“Meat,” she says, grinning.

“What’s wrong with steak?” I ask.

“Nothing,” she replies. “You’re just such a man.”

“I’m all man,” I reply, gripping her by her hips from behind and pulling her closer to me. “You still claiming there isn’t anything between us?”

She gulps. “Saxon—”

I cut her off. “Don’t try and talk yourself out of this, lawyer. Just answer yes or no.”

She turns around so her front is pressed to mine, and our gazes lock. “This isn’t a good idea.”

“You knew it was leading in this direction,” I tell her softly, gripping her chin in my palm. “Stop fighting Tee, just for once, stop fighting. There has been something between us for so long. Give in to us.”

Her bottom lip trembles as for once, she seems to be speechless. I lean forward, giving her time to push me away if she wants.

She doesn’t.

Her surrender is the sweetest feeling in the world, and I take full advantage of it.

My lips press against her soft ones, licking the seam.

Begging entrance.

She opens her mouth, and my tongue instantly finds hers.

The world disappears.

Everything except Tenielle disappears.

It’s just me and her.

My hands tangle in her hair as I push her back against the fridge door, kissing her with everything I have. She tastes of mint mixed with a sweetness that I know is all her, a taste I could get addicted to. Her hands grip my ass, surprising me. I pull back a little and smile against her slightly swollen mouth.

“I always knew it would be like this,” I murmur, my pulse racing.

“Shut up and kiss me again,” she growls, wrapping her arms around my neck and fusing our lips together once more.

Finally.

I smile against her mouth.

Chapter Eleven

Tenielle

Gripping the curved muscle of his upper arm, I let myself kiss Saxon, giving into the temptation.

He’s an amazing kisser, and I think I could do this all day.

Or night.

I suck on his bottom lip, biting it gently before pulling away.

I don’t think I’ve ever wanted anything more in my life than I want him right now.

“Bedroom. Now,” I demand, feeling so damn turned on. Saxon is a lucky man right now, because I don’t think the word no is going to leave my lips, I’m that hot for him.

He’s in for a wild ride.

“I want to taste you, but we aren’t having sex,” he says, ruining my mood.

“What do you mean we aren’t having sex?” I ask, licking my lips.

“If we make love right now, afterwards you’re going to regret it and use it as a reason to push me away,” he says.

“How the f**k do you know that?” I ask grumpily.

Sexual frustration will do that to you.

“Because, I know you. I’ve been paying attention to you for a long time, and I’m pretty sure I can guess how your mind words.”

“You f—”

He cuts off my rant of curse words with his mouth and carries me onto the couch, laying me on it and pulling down my track pants. He pauses and grins up at me. “You’re not wearing any panties.”
