“Kade!” I yell, running away from him, only to get chased and squirted even more. I see Layla sitting on the hood of my car chuckling. So not funny! Where is the backup? This is what I’m thinking when I get taken to the ground, and squirted some more.
“You look f**king hot wet,” he murmurs in my ear. When Kade is done with me, I am soaked. He gives me a deep long kiss before he jumps up and goes after Layla.
“Now, Layla, you’re pregnant so you can’t run,” he says gleefully. He fights dirty! Layla squeals as she too gets squirted, Kade lifting her in his arms playfully.
James walks out, not looking sorry at all. Instead, he's holding the new green thong I had bought earlier at the mall.
“James!” I gasp out.
Kade looks over and grins. “Wear that tonight, Nikki!” he yells out, eyes on the underwear.
I exhale deeply. There will so be revenge over this. I stomp into the house, grabbing my thong off a chuckling James on the way. They are such kids sometimes!
"I'm so going to get you boys back for this!" I threaten.
Later on, Kade and I are curled up watching ‘The Hangover’ when I finally ask him, "So, how did today go with Ashley?"
"Good, she said she'll lay off of us. Don’t worry about it, Nikki,” he tells me.
"It's pretty stupid for her to be so worked up over us being together," I grumble and turn back to the movie.
"She's just looking out for me, Nikki. It's no big deal." I'm not in a mood for a fight so I just grunt and change the topic.
“Wanna f**k?”

I’m waiting for Kade to get home from work. I’ve got a huge bucket filled with water balloons, all ready to go. I’m wearing my green bikini and my red Havaianas thongs; it looks like I’m going to the beach, not a revenge mission, but the bikini serves two purposes. One- distract Kade, and two- I am most probably going to end up wet. About ten minutes later his Hummer pulls up, and I walk out from my hiding spot, pick up two water balloons and fling them at him. The first one hit his car, causing me to flinch. I love that car. The second one hits Kade on the shoulder. I burst out laughing. I can hear Kade chuckle.
“You want to play, do you?” he rumbles.
I shiver. Oh boy, do I? I pick up the balloons consecutively throwing as many as I can at him before he can reach me, which turns out to be about five seconds. He flings me over his shoulder, causing me to squeal.
“Spitfire,” he hisses.
I can’t help but feel satisfied to feel his shirt wet; at least I got him a few times. Kade carries me into the house and straight into the shower. He bends down, taking off my thongs one by one. My heart melts. It only lasts a moment because he stands up and says through clenched teeth, “You were standing out the front of our house, dressed like this?”
I shrug innocently. Kade slaps my ass before turning the shower on. He strips down and I gulp, staring down at his aroused penis. He is f**king huge. I’ve had my fair share of men, but Kade is by far the biggest in length and width. I’ve never told him because I really don’t think he needs the ego boost.
“Like what you see?” he asks in an amused tone. See what I mean? His ego is big enough as it is. “Hmm,” he purrs, as he removes my bikini top with one pull. His gaze zooms in on my br**sts. “Like red candy,” he murmurs, taking one into his mouth, sucking gently. I squirm. The man seriously knows what he is doing. I hope James doesn’t come home because it’s not long before I’m screaming Kade’s name.

Tonight we're having a party for Kade’s birthday. We invited all of our friends although Ryder declined, for obvious reasons. We’re all setting up when Ashley comes sauntering in. Just great. I didn’t invite her, so Kade obviously did. When she sees me she gives me a dirty look, which I purposely ignore.
I’m hanging out with Derek, while Kade is chatting with Ashley. I see her hand him an envelope, and when he opens it he smiles and gives her a hug. I see him look around, and when he finds me he calls out “Hey, Nikki, I hope you don’t have any plans this weekend because we’re going to Bali!”
I blink. She bought him tickets for us to go to Bali? Why do I doubt that? When Ashley’s face drops and she hisses something at Kade, my eyebrows raise in understanding. Ashley bought two tickets for Kade, thinking he would take her because she was the one who bought the tickets. Ashley storms out, leaving Kade looking extremely confused. He's so blind. I bet if she declared her undying love to his face he still wouldn’t believe it. Kade slowly walks over to me and hands me the tickets.
“Start packing,” he says with a grin. “I’m gonna go and talk to Ashley. I have no idea what got her so upset.” I roll my eyes.
About ten minutes later Kade and Ashley walk back in. I guess he was able to sweet talk her into forgiving him.
Chapter Nineteen
Kade and I are on our way to Bali, just for the weekend. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, and I love it. Our room is all decorated in dark wood and white walls. The bed is a piece of art, huge with intricate carvings on the headboard. I smirk at Kade when my eyes land on the rose petals spread out in a love heart on the white bed sheets. We open our suitcases, and then change into our swimwear so we can head out and explore.
Kade and I are sun baking on the beach, a tropical drink in our hands.
This is the life.
“Time for more sunscreen,” he says, putting his drink down, and pulling out the bottle.
